1. Radhanagar Beach, Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Located on Havelock islands in Andaman group of islands, Radhanagar Beach is located on the western coast of the island. With its crystal blue waters, white sandy shores and serene environment, Radhanagar Beach was declared the ‘best beach in Asia’ in 2004 by the Time magazine. The beach is located 12 kilometers from the main pier and is a great place to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with friends and family. Scuba diving, snorkeling, boating and swimming are few of the must do activities while visiting the pristine Radhanagar Beach.

2. Palolem Beach, Goa

Among all other beaches in Goa, Palolem beach is arguably the best beach in the state. Palolem beach is located in southern Goa near Canacona village and is mostly inhabited by the local village fishermen. Despite of being lined by several beach side shacks and restaurants, Palolem beach is largely unspoiled. The beach is protected by two sets of protruding rocks on each end and is relatively less crowded and cleaner than the beach in North Goa. The beach is also known to be a hippy hotspot since the 1980s.

The beach is located in the state of Maharashtra at the confluence of the Arabian Sea and Karali River on the west coast of India. Tarkarli Beach is largely unspoiled with any commercial activities and is mostly inhabited by the local fisherman. The beach while not popular with the Indian and foreign is one of the most stunning beaches you can visit in India. The crystal clear waters allow the marine life and the sea bed at deep as 20 feet during a clear day.

4. Lighthouse Beach, Kerala

Located in the Kovalam district in the state of Kerala, Lighthouse beach is characterized by a 35-meter lighthouse that allows some spectacular views of the surroundings. The beach is located at the southernmost tip of the town. The beach is largely unspoiled and is lined with a series of beach side shacks and restaurants. The best time to visit is during the evening when the light from the lighthouse adds relaxing warmth to the environment.

5. Agonda Beach, Goa

Another remarkable beach located in the state of Goa, Agonda is located at a short distance of 4-5 kilometers from the above mentioned Palolem beach. While Palolem is considered to be the party hotspot in south Goa, Agonda beach is a secluded beach with rocky outcrops and is devoid of any major commercial activities save for some accommodation huts. The beach is known for its serene environment, relatively bigger waves fit for body surfing and hillocks that provide some great views of the surroundings.

India is surrounded on three sides by the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. This has provided the country with some of the most enchanting beaches.
